-
How much does it cost?
The delivery cost depends on the size, weight and destination country of your parcel. You'll find full pricing on our Tariffs page, or you can calculate it there in a few seconds. There's no membership and no hidden fees.
-
How do you know the parcel is for me?
Every customer gets a personal client ID. You add it next to your name in the delivery address when ordering from a Polish store, and it appears on the parcel label. That's how we match each incoming parcel to your account. We then pack it carefully and forward it to you.
-
What is the maximum weight of the parcel?
The maximum weight of the standard shipment is 30 kg. We are possible to receive parcels also over 40 kg. In some cases, for example, for the delivery of large and heavy auto parts (eg car bumper, car doors) or bulk purchases in Poland, we use delivery on pallets.
If you want to receive over 30 kg parcels, contact us first: [email protected]. We will be able to offer the best price for the delivery of the parcel to your country.
-
What is Volumetric Weight, or Dimensional Weight?
Volumetric Weight, or dimensional weight, is used when the space occupied by a load in a car or an airplane may be greater than the actual weight of the load. Compare this to your actual weight and use the higher of the two shipping rates. The volumetric weight for international shipments is calculated using the formulas below. Length x width x height in centimeters / 5000 = volumetric weight in kilograms rounded to the nearest 0.5 kg.
Dimensional scales of volumetric weight for individual carriers:
- UPS: L x W x H / 5000 = weight in kg
- DPD: L x W x H / 6000 = weight in kg
- GLS (max.dimensions: length 200cm, height 60cm, width 80cm, length + circumference: 300cm
The valuation takes into account the higher, actual or dimensional weight.
-
What is the prohibited content of parcels?
- Perishable, infectious, or odorous products, human and animal remains, live animals and plants
- High-value goods, e.g. cash, precious metal, valuables, real pearls, precious stones, etc.
- Artworks, with incalculable values, temperature-unstable goods requiring controlled temperature
- Ammunition, firearms, explosives, and other articles meant to be injured or killed, Goods subject to excise duty, alcohol, tobacco products
- Goods or consignments the sending of which is prohibited by any applicable law
-
Can I send a parcel to your address using Cash on Delivery (COD)?
No. In this case, the parcel would be refused and it would go back to the sender.
-
How can I pay for my order?
Bank transfer is our main and safest payment method. Once your parcel is ready to ship, we send you an invoice with the delivery cost, which you can pay via your mobile banking app or at a bank branch.
The invoice clearly shows the cost of transport within Poland and the cost of international delivery to your country.
Please note it takes 1–3 banking days for the payment to be credited to our corporate account.
-
What is delivery time of my shipment?
Typical delivery time is 5–7 business days from our warehouse in Warsaw to your door, and up to 14 business days in exceptional circumstances. Delivery times vary by destination country.
We do our best to make sure your parcel reaches you as quickly as possible, and you can track it in real time the whole way.
-
Which carrier will deliver my shipment?
Postiva works with almost all major transport companies and always looks for the best price for your shipment. Our main partners are GLS, DPD and DHL.
These are carriers with an excellent worldwide reputation. Every day we forward hundreds of parcels from Poland around the world, and thanks to these partnerships, delivery problems are kept to an absolute minimum.
-
Shipment is damaged. What can I do now?
Every parcel we send is packed very carefully — we know how important it is that expensive and fragile items arrive intact.
If your parcel arrives damaged, be sure to note it when receiving it from the courier. The courier company that delivered the parcel is responsible for transit damage, and you can claim full compensation from them.
Always inspect your parcel together with the courier representative. Claims made after the parcel has been accepted cannot be processed.
-
Can you send all my purchases in one package?
Yes. Just let us know — for example in the order comment — that you'd like everything sent as one shipment.
Consolidation saves a lot on international shipping. If you order 5 or 10 different items from separate Polish sellers, each would normally charge international delivery separately.
By combining them into one parcel with Postiva, you often save enough to cover another purchase entirely.
